Our little flower turned four this past week. It's hard to look back at this post, and see how much she's changed, but I guess this is what parenthood is supposed to feel like.
Four years old is pretty special, and so to celebrate, we put together her very first actual birthday party. We're not ones to get into all the Martha Stewart/Pinterest hoopla, so we initially started the party planning with a kind of nonchalant attitude, but soon we got carried away, and ended up with this
Almost everything for this party was just pulled out of a closet somewhere, or made by the hands of our loving extended family, late in the night, after coming home from work.
We invited all the kids via Facebook, but then I felt really lame, so Daisy, my mom, and I put together tickets to send out to the each of her party guests. We made sure to encourage them to dress up since Daisy would be too.
Almost all the girls arrived dressed up, but the boys chickened out at the last minute.
Honestly, the party was just a rush of sugar and energy, but that's how everyones first official birthday party should be, shouldn't it?
So, with all that said, here are the rest of the photos from the day. It was Daisy's Best Day Ever! P.s. Did we mention she doesn't want to go by Alice anymore? ;).
(Bruce had had enough!)
